| More Info | Mt. Vernon’s Winemaker will be returning to host a casual evening of food and wine pairing. We will be featuring six Mt. Vernon wines, each paired with an hors d’oeuvre course that compliments the wine. Ryan will speak about each wine while it is being delivered and you can then enjoy the pairing while mingling with Ryan and your fellow members. Here are the wine and hors d'oeuvre offerings: 1. Breast Cancer Research Chardonnay, Sonoma County 2008 Paired with Halibut with Melted Leeks and Beurre Blanc 2. Cabernet Franc, Placer County 2006 Paired with Roasted Salmon on Puff Pastry with Boursin 3. Merlot, Sierra Foothills 2008 Paired with Roasted Mushroom and Goat Cheese Strudel 4. Cabernet Sauvignon, Sierra Foothills 2007 Paired with Seared Waygu Ribeye Gorgonzola Twice Baked Potato with Cabernet Demi 5. Girly Man Red "The Goobinator", Sierra Foothills 2005 Paired with Pork Rillette with Michigan Dried Cherries on Rosemary Bread 6.
